Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent ICB People’s Panel

The Integrated Care Board’s (ICB) People’s Panel is a specially-selected panel of local people who are at the heart of helping us to achieve our vision to make Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent the healthiest places to live and work in England. The panel is also used by Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care System (ICS) to gain views and feedback around specific ICS-related projects.

We are inviting you to join the more than 1,100 people already who are already a part of the panel, and help inform health and care services in your local area.

Why we need you

Everyone has experience of using health and care services and we want to hear your opinions and feedback. We are inviting members of the public to play an active role in helping to improve these services, for the benefit of everyone.

Wherever you live in Staffordshire or Stoke-on-Trent and whatever your background, your experiences are important to us and can help to make a difference to health and care services in your local area.

We want our panel to be a good and varied representation of the local population so that we have a better idea of what is important to the people we care for.

How you can play a role

If you decide to join our people’s panel, there are two main ways in which you will be involved. Firstly, we will email you regular online surveys that are short and interesting to complete. These surveys will give our health and social care partners vital information to help change services for the better.

Secondly, you may also be invited to take part in focus groups (this is voluntary). These are face to face meetings with other members of the panel where we invite you to discuss and share your opinions on various health and care matters.

How your views will be used

This isn’t a tick-box exercise – it’s born out of a genuine desire to put local people at the heart of everything we do. Your views really do matter, and we will look carefully at the results of the surveys and focus group discussions. We will then provide you with a full summary of the findings from each survey and the actions we will be taking as a result.

The people’s panel is just one of the many ways that we are working with local people to understand their views, so we will make sure we have lots of feedback about our services before we make any changes.
